Follow the river to the rivermouth & enjoy the magnificent, secluded beach of
Princetown
Princetown is a beautiful, small coastal hamlet just six kilometres east of the famous 12 Apostles. The town has a pub which doubles as a general store and a post office, so if you are looking for loads of nightlife you have come to the wrong place. Princetown offers seclusion in magnificent natural surroundings. The Gellibrand River is right next to the town and has significant wetlands crammed full of birdlife. A boardwalk winds its way through some of these wetlands. The rivermouth is just a short walk away and opens on to Clifton Beach which has great surfing and fishing. Tourists very rarely find themselves on this beach – you’ll have it to yourself. Princetown accommodation is limited but what there is will make you feel right at home.
